PRIVACY POLICY · v1.1

Privacy Policy

Grippa is a habit tracker with group standings. This policy describes what the app stores, what leaves your device, and what never does.

What stays on your device

Your habit list, schedules, check-in history, streaks, freezes and statistics are stored on your iPhone and synced through your own iCloud account, so the same data appears on your other devices under the same Apple ID.

Proof photos are the strictest case. A photo taken inside the app is written to the device only. It is never uploaded to our servers, never shown to your group, and never included in anything we receive. Delete the app and those photos go with it.

What we receive

Running a group means moving a small amount of data between members. What we store is limited to:

  • An account identifier and the display name you choose.
  • The clubs and teams you belong to, your role in them, and invite codes you created.
  • Check-in events inside a group: which habit, which day, the points awarded — not the photo, not private notes.
  • Messages and reactions you post in a group feed, because other members have to be able to read them.
  • Coach conversations, so the thread survives a reinstall.

What we do not collect

No contacts, no location, no camera roll, no health records, no advertising identifiers. There is no advertising in Grippa and no third-party analytics or tracking SDKs in the app. We do not sell personal data and do not share it with data brokers.

What your group can see

A club shows one shared habit list; personal habits stay private. A team shows each member's habits to the rest of the team — that is the point of the format, which is why joining one asks for explicit confirmation.

In both formats members see your check-ins, points, streak length and whatever you post in the feed. They do not see your proof photos or your private notes.

The AI coach

The coach asks for consent before anything is sent. If you accept, your message and a summary of the relevant habit — schedule, completion rate, streak — are sent to a third-party model provider to generate a reply. Photos are never sent. The provider processes requests on our behalf and is not permitted to train on them.

The rest of the product works fully without ever enabling the coach.

Payments

Subscriptions are handled by Apple through the App Store. We never see your card details; we receive only whether a subscription is active and when it renews.

Who else processes your data

We use four companies to run Grippa. Each one receives only what is listed here, and nothing more.

  • Supabase (United States) hosts our database and file storage. It holds your account identifier, display name, group memberships, check-in events, feed posts and coach history.
  • Apple (United States) handles sign-in and every payment. We never receive your card details.
  • RevenueCat (United States) records whether your subscription is active and when it renews. It receives your account identifier and the purchase, nothing else.
  • DeepSeek (China) is the model behind the coach. It receives only the message you write to the coach and a short summary of the habit you asked about — never your name, your email, your group or your photos — and only after you have turned the coach on.

How long we keep things

Group data stays while your account exists. When you delete your account we remove your profile, memberships and coach history within 30 days. Messages you posted in a group feed are anonymised rather than deleted, so other members' conversations stay readable. Backups are overwritten within 90 days.

Your rights

You can export everything the app holds about you as CSV from Settings at any time, without asking us. You can also request access, correction or deletion, or object to processing, by writing to ustechnologyllc@proton.me. We answer within 30 days.

In the EEA and the UK the legal basis for group features is our contract with you; for the coach it is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

If you are in the EEA or the UK: coach messages are transferred to China, which the European Commission has not recognised as providing an adequate level of protection. That transfer happens only with your explicit consent, under Article 49(1)(a) GDPR, and you can withdraw it at any time by turning the coach off in Settings. Everything else stays with providers in the United States.

Children

Grippa is not directed at children under 13 and accounts are not knowingly created for them. If you believe a child has an account, write to ustechnologyllc@proton.me and it will be removed.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that affects what we collect, the app shows the change before the new version takes effect. The date below always reflects the current version.

TERMS OF USE · EULA · v1.1

Terms of Use

The agreement between you and Grippa: what the app does, what a subscription includes, and how groups are expected to behave.

The service

Grippa is an iPhone application for tracking habits individually and scoring them together in clubs and teams. It requires iOS 17 or newer. There is no Android, web or iPad version, and the interface is in English only.

Grippa is not a medical, fitness or mental-health service. It records what you tell it and what your group confirms. It diagnoses nothing and promises no result within any period of time.

Who can use Grippa

You must be at least 16 years old to use Grippa. If you are under 18, you need permission from a parent or guardian.

Your account

You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping access to it. One account is for one person: sharing an account distorts group standings and may be suspended.

Subscription and payment

The free plan carries the whole product: one club and one team, five habits, fifty coach messages a month, thirty days of statistics history, three freezes a month. The paid plan lifts those ceilings and adds the ability to create your own clubs and teams.

  • Paid plan: $4.99 per month or $29.99 per year.
  • Billing is handled by Apple and renews automatically until cancelled in App Store subscription settings.
  • Cancelling stops the next renewal; the current period runs to its end.
  • Refunds are issued by Apple under App Store policy, not by us.
  • If a subscription lapses, nothing is deleted. Your habits, groups, history and statistics stay exactly as they are. You simply cannot add more than the free plan allows until you subscribe again.

Groups and conduct

Clubs and teams are social spaces built for support rather than shaming. The following gets content removed and accounts suspended:

  • Harassment, threats, or targeting someone over missed days.
  • Unlawful, hateful or sexual content, and photographs of another person taken without their agreement.
  • Faking check-ins to move up a table, or automating the app.
  • Using a group to advertise or recruit for something else.

What you can do about other people

You can block anyone from the member list of a club or team. Blocking works immediately and needs no approval from us: you stop seeing each other's check-ins and feed posts, and neither of you can nudge the other. You can undo it at any time in Settings → Blocked people.

You can also report a person or a whole group. We look at every report within 24 hours and remove the content or suspend the account behind it when the report is justified. A group that two different people report is hidden from the public catalogue automatically while we look at it.

Group admins

Whoever creates a club or team sets its habits, its proof strictness and its elimination rules, and can remove members. Admins act on their own behalf, not ours. Points, standings and eliminations are decided by the rules the admin configured.

Your content

Your habits, notes, photos and messages remain yours. You grant us only the permission needed to store your data and show it to the members of the groups you joined. We do not use your content for advertising and do not license it to anyone else.

Availability and changes

Features may be added, changed or withdrawn. If a change removes something you paid for, it is announced in the app before it takes effect. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service; group data can be delayed while a device is offline.

Ending the agreement

You can stop using Grippa at any time and delete your account from Settings. We may suspend an account that breaks the conduct rules above, and will say why. On deletion, data is handled as described in the Privacy Policy.

Liability

The app is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, lost progress, or decisions you take about your health, training or finances based on what the app or the coach suggests. Nothing here limits rights that cannot be limited by law.

SUPPORT · REPORTS WITHIN 24H · EVERYTHING ELSE WITHIN 2 BUSINESS DAYS

Support

One address, answered by the people who build the app. Write in English or Russian.

Write to us

ustechnologyllc@proton.me — for anything: a bug, a question about points, a group that behaves oddly, a privacy request, or a refund you were told to raise with us.

It helps to include your iOS version, the app version from Settings, the name of the group involved, and what you expected to happen instead.

Things you can fix yourself

  • A missed day: back-dated check-ins are accepted until noon the next day, at half the points.
  • Wrong points: points depend on habit difficulty and streak length, and 130 a day is the ceiling.
  • Streak broken by travel: use one of your three monthly freezes.
  • Reminders at the wrong time: quiet hours and smart timing live in each habit's settings.
  • Leaving a group: You → the group → Leave. Standings keep the history of the challenge you were in.

Reporting someone

Open the club or team, go to Members, tap next to the person and choose Report. You can block them in the same step, and blocking takes effect immediately.

To report a whole group — its name or its description — use the menu at the top of the group screen.

We look at every report within 24 hours. Harassment, threats and unlawful or sexual content get the account suspended.

How fast we respond

  • Reports about another member or a group: within 24 hours.
  • Everything else — bugs, questions about points, refunds: within 2 business days.
  • Formal access, correction or deletion requests: within 30 days.

Refunds

Subscriptions are billed by Apple, so refunds go through reportaproblem.apple.com. If Apple declines and you believe the charge was wrong, write to ustechnologyllc@proton.me and we will look at it with you.

Data requests

A full CSV export is in Settings and needs no request. For access, correction or deletion beyond that, write to ustechnologyllc@proton.me. We answer within 30 days.

ACCOUNT DELETION · REQUIRED BY APP STORE GUIDELINE 5.1.1(v)

Delete your account

Deletion is available inside the app and does not require writing to us. Here is exactly where it is and what happens after.

In the app

You → Settings → Account → Delete account, then confirm in the dialog, and the request starts immediately. No email, no support ticket, no waiting for a reply.

What is removed

  • Your profile, display name and account identifier.
  • Your memberships in every club and team, and any invite codes you created.
  • Your check-in history, points, streaks and statistics held on our side.
  • Your coach conversations.
  • Anything stored on the device itself, including every proof photo, goes when the app is deleted.

What stays

Messages you posted in a group feed are anonymised instead of deleted, so the conversations of the people still in that group remain readable. If you administer a club or team, you are asked to hand it over or close it first — otherwise its members would lose their challenge.

Apple keeps its own record of your subscription. Deleting the account does not cancel it: cancel in App Store subscription settings.

Timing

The account stops working at once. Server-side data is erased within 30 days and backups are overwritten within 90. Deletion is final — there is no restore.

Export first

Settings → Export data writes every habit, check-in and statistic to a CSV file before you delete anything. It is worth doing.

If you cannot reach the app

Lost the device or cannot sign in? Write from the address on the account to ustechnologyllc@proton.me and we will delete it after verifying ownership.
